Interests of outside of major: Most of my interests are related to ecology, besides baseball.
Research Interests
My research interests include plant-organism interactions and soil science in agricultural and bioenergy systems. I am currently researching how the differences in crop type, microbial activity, and abiotic conditions impact carbon sequestration at various soil depths. My research aims to provide insight into sustainable production of carbon-neutral energy as a solution to the issue of rapid global change. View Graduate Student Profile

What is the most interesting thing about your major?
- Biology encompasses such a broad range of subjects, and oftentimes combines all kinds of majors.

What is your favorite place on campus?
- The PRT

What is your most memorable moment?
- When we arrived to HSC, the PRT doors opened just long enough to let me and two other people off, and closed on the rest of my friends.

What is your favorite class and why?
- Scientific Integrity, because I get to take the PRT there

Why did you choose WVU?
- When I first visited, everyone I met seemed to enjoy their time here and the faculty seemed very supportive.

What are your favorite things about being in this major?
- I like that my major/field of study aligns with my hobbies. It makes work fun.
