Emily Protain

My research interests include plant-organism interactions and soil science in agricultural and bioenergy systems. I am currently researching how the differences in crop type, microbial activity, and abiotic conditions impact carbon sequestration at various soil depths. My research aims to provide insight into sustainable production of carbon-neutral energy as a solution to the issue of rapid global change.
