Role: PhD Student,
We study transcription factors involved in the proper development of the visual system neural circuitry of larval zebrafish. My research focuses on overexpressing our gene of interest in select regions of the brain at different times during development, using transgenic tools, to see how select expression affects development. I am also examining where our gene of interest binds in the genome to see what genes are directly regulated by this transcription factor.
