An understanding of the natural world is a source of not only great curiosity, but great fulfillment. —Sir David Attenborough
As a scientist and an instructor of introductory biology courses, I love seeing undergraduate students discover connections between course topics and the living world around them. I am also passionate about the professional development of Graduate Teaching Assistants who are learning to implement good teaching practices.
Outside of the classroom and teaching laboratories, I am the Director of the WVU Campus Food Garden where we grow food to donate to food pantries, teach people how to garden, and advocate for food justice.
