Research Interest
My research interests pertain to the neurocircuitry within the central nervous system of the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster. For my dissertation I will be studying cotransmission of histamine and neuropeptides from ascending histaminergic neurons and their affects on the behavior of Drosophila Melanogaster. I will be focused on the neuroanatomy of post and presynaptic partners to these neurons as well as how knocking down neuropeptides and histamine affects mating behaviors.
