Requirements for a Biology Minor
Biology Minor Code: U075
A student should declare his or her intention to complete a Biology minor when formally requesting admission to a major program. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain information about the minor and to complete the required courses. At the time of application for graduation, the student must indicate that he or she wishes to be certified for the minor.
Requirements: 20 or 21 credit hours of Biology with a C or better
- A student must take BIOL 115, BIOL 117 and either BIOL 219 or BIOL 221
- A student must take 9 upper division credit hours selected from:
- BIOL 219 prerequisite: BIOL 310, 311, 312, 313, 316, 324, 348, 410, 413, 414, 439
- BIOL 221 prerequisite: BIOL 321, 338, 350, 361, 363, 412, 438, 440, 461, 462, 463, 464
- No 200-level prerequisite: BIOL 301, 341, 351, 352, 353, 362, 450
